The Rainbow Atlas

A Guide to the World’s 500 Most Colorful Places
Taylor Fuller

If a colorful punch in the eye is a top priority when you travel, this collection of rainbow-hued locations is for you! They run the gamut of natural locations, including multi-colored lakes, rivers and mountains, to towns with colorful houses, murals and mosaics. Locations are presented by longitude, so you may find Russia and Australian locations in the same chapter. Descriptions are brief – a mere paragraph or so – but the pictures are the real winners. My only complaint? The one location for the entire Midwest is Chicago, and it felt like an entry written during a layover. But hey, we know there’s lots of colorful places like the Monroe Balloon Rally, Kitch-iti-kipi Springs, and the Porkies in Fall.
