Recommended Cozies

I don’t really review cozies, despite reading A LOT of them. For those unfamiliar, the cozy genre are generally “gentle” murders – no graphic violence,  not a lot of sex, blood or swearing, and the person who gets whacked deserves it. A lot of the focus on cozies is atmosphere and likeable characters doing fun things (or what we fantasize would be fun). This includes bookstore and bakery owners, crafters, gardeners, cute animals and other activities so many of us wish we had more time to do. Cozies are often short, lightweight and easy reads – the equivalent of a bag of chips. They’re enjoyable but a full review of plot would leave very little book left over for you to actually read yourself. Also, The Cozy Mystery Blog already does such a fantastic job keeping up on all the new titles. Anyway, here’s some of my favorite series.
